10:22pm: Well hot damn.

Welcome to history.

31st August 2007

3:56pm: I just saw the Neo-futurist's show "The Fool Returns to His Chair" last night (which I'm doing some of the pre-show performances for). And I have to say that it is by far the darkest (literally), and most twisted Neo-futurist show that I've yet seen!

Basically, it's a cross between a David Lynch film, and a Warner Brothers cartoon.
But non-linear.
And with a lot less dialogue.

Totally high on the visuals, the body movements, the sounds, and the music.
Extra high on the use of milk crates.
Like - REALLY extra high.

If that's the type of thing that excites you, you should totally check it out!
It's running Thursday (pay what you like night!), Friday and Saturday ($15 a head) at 8:00 until September 29.

If you go this weekend at all (or any Friday in the future) you'll probably even get to see me in all my foolish glory, before the show even begins!

(Or is it?)

7:14pm: Another Spin Night!
Howdy folks -

Once again, I send out the reminder and request that ya'll think about coming on out to Spin for the monthly industrial night!

Spin is on the corner of Belmont and Halsted (door on Halsted).
Cover is $5.
I spin in the danceable back room from 10 until 1:30.

Due to some recent excitement, my backup DJ Sprite cannot make it this evening. However, a flip of the coin says that DJ Lick-me-I'm-Delicious will be filling in for him. Crazy good times shall ensue!

And remember! First one of you that I see there, gets a free drink!!

20th May 2007

6:01pm: Circus Freakus! (AKA Gremlin Bash)
Well folks, tonights the night, and this is your official reminder.

Bring Yourselves and all various forms of (non)talent to

THE NO-TALENT show!
At Spot 6 (1 and 1/2 block north of Belmont on Clark)
TONIGHT - Sunday, May 6.

Doors at 7:00 - Show at 8:00!

See you then!

9th May 2007

11:47pm: More info on the NO-Talent show tomorrow, but for now

Mark your weekend calendars for a night of dancing!

This SATURDAY, the 12th of May
I'll be Spinning at Spin (on the corner of Belmont and Halsted) for the monthly FISHTANK.

Come on out, and dance, and run amok, and play (Angela, bring your hoola-hoop!). With any luck, this week I'll even be allowed to leave the DJ booth for more than 30 seconds!

First two friends of mine that I spot on the dance floor get a free drink!

Door is $5, and I'll be spinning from 10 until 2:30.

Yay!

12th April 2007

12:16am: Well kids, it would be ever so keen if people might think about coming out for spell on Saturday night. I'll be DJing at Spin on Halsted and Belmont from 10:00 to 2:30ish, and would really love to see some people shake their rumps. Yes, I said rumps.

Also, despite the fact that I'm in the booth up in the lofty heavens, if I see you, I promise to rain some toys down upon your heads. Light toys of course, because I still want to see you dance.

P.S. I'm feeling to stupid to figure out how to alter the text of the poll without an excessive amount of work, so let's go ahead and acknowledge that blanket = Blanket/sheet/fabric covering.

11:25am: When did I become squeamish?
I was reaching for something in my bag, when a large bug made a dash acrossed the top and into my belongings. Naturally, I jumped, as I wasn't expecting this (my boss asked me if I was okay, stating that I looked like I'd been electrically shocked).

Then came the knowledge that I would somehow have to escort this leggy beast OUT of my bag... And that's when I began to realize that I was having serious muscle tension and jitters. I took out a few things, and then put the bag on it's side and began to jiggle it around, until Mr. Ugly skittered out and acrossed the floor. To which I had an involuntary shudder, and dropped my grip on the bag.

What the hell? Am I loosing my edge? I'm not going to say that I always love bugs - but they've never wigged me out in such an obvious way before. (I mean, I'm writing this about 30 minutes later, and I'm shuddering as I remember the experience... What gives?).

10:16am: MISSING
Have You Seen This Pumpkin???
This pumpkin was last seen as it was set out in front of Gremlin's house at about 5:45 on October 31. It was seated between a pumpkin that looked like Spawn, and a pumpkin that represented the Eye or Sauron. It was less than 24 hours old, and new to the world.

Approximately 45 minutes after Mr. Pirate Pumpkin was placed outside (behind a gate - not locked) it was noticed that one of the pumpkins was missing. Upon further inspection, It was noted that it was Mr. PirateP that had disappeared, although the Spawn Pumpkin had replaced it's spot in the row.

Could fowl play be afoot? We don't know. We've interogated Spawn Pumpkin endlessly, but he refuses to answer our questions (possibly because he has no mouth... and then he went missing days later himself).

Anyone with information as to the where abouts of this pumpkin should add a comment immediately. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Okay... 3 parts what?! 3 Parts WHAT!?

Come on! What is it? Is it a secret ingredient that they can't give away because, honestly now, NO ONE wants another Grrremlinski? Is it an illegal substance, that they can't condone the use of? Is is just something mysterious that even they haven't figured out? Or is it different for everyone, so that you can all have your own personal spin on the Grrremlinski? *shrug*

Okay. Obsessive moment over. Move along. Nothing to see.

1:59pm: Okay, I guess it should be said sooner than later – but I really really really want to thank everyone who came out to Kinetic last Friday. I had a SERIOUS blast. I got to see so many people that I hadn’t seen in a while, and I got to drink a bit, and I got to dance a LOT, and even more – I got a chance to spin at a night I helped create! WOOO! Such a rush :)

And the gaggle who went out to Clarke’s afterwards was also fantastic. Such a perfect evening (and [info]signal1101 even let me drive home afterwards. Hehehe. (Look, ma! I didn’t run any stop signs!).

The Next one is scheduled for April 2. (Now with fabulous colored lights!) I hope to see you all out again :)
